How to Sell Items Online in Cyprus
Most household items sell within a couple of weeks if the advert is clear and the price is realistic. The work is front-loaded: half an hour spent on photos and a description saves days of messaging.
Decide what is worth listing
Furniture, appliances, phones, laptops, tools, baby equipment, bicycles and garden items all move well. Very low-value items are often better bundled into one lot than listed separately.
Clean it and photograph it properly
Clean the item first — it changes the price people will pay. Shoot in daylight against a plain background, take five to eight photos from different angles, and photograph any damage honestly. The first photo decides whether anyone clicks.
Write for the person searching
Put the brand, model, size and condition in the title. In the description, cover age, condition, what is included, why you are selling, and whether collection or delivery applies.
Price against live listings
Search OpenSky24 for the same item and see what comparable examples are listed for right now. Price slightly under the average for a quick sale, or at the average if you can wait.
Handling messages
Reply the same day. Keep the conversation in the platform's messaging so you have a record. Ignore offers to "pay extra for shipping" from buyers who never intend to view the item.
Handover and payment
Meet in a public place, or ask a second person to be at home with you for large items. Cash on collection or an instant bank transfer you have actually confirmed as received are the two safe options. Never release an item against a screenshot of a pending payment.
